Here is today’s featured foundation.

The Pollination Project

Website: https://thepollinationproject.org/

Mission & Purpose: To uplift grassroots changemakers whose work helps build a kinder, more compassionate world. They function as a global community of kindness, funding individuals who often cannot get funding elsewhere.

Broad Funding Guidelines: This is a global/national funder. They are unique in that they fund individuals and informal groups (you do not need 501(c)(3) status). They prioritize projects that are volunteer-led and have a total budget under $10,000. They explicitly do not fund organizations with paid staff or large budgets.

Featured Opportunity: The Daily Grant is their claim to fame. They award a $1,000 seed grant every single day of the year. This is "seed money" designed to help someone launch a new concept—whether it's a community garden, a compassion curriculum, or an animal rescue initiative.

Recommendation: An individual activist, a teacher, or a student who has a brand new, compassionate idea (e.g., "I want to start a community fridge in my neighborhood") but has zero money and no nonprofit status.
