Mission & Purpose: To improve the quality of life for the residents of Northwest Kansas. The foundation is deeply place-based and seeks to provide opportunities that will help its rural communities thrive.

Broad Funding Guidelines: Grantmaking is strictly limited to a 26-county service area in Northwest Kansas. They support a wide range of community needs, including community beautification, arts & culture, education, health care, and economic development. They have an open application process and are known for being responsive to local needs.

Featured Opportunity: The foundation's most powerful feature is its Community Grant Fund, which is administered through local community foundations in each of the 26 counties. This hyper-local approach empowers residents to make funding decisions for their own small towns, funding everything from library programs to new playground equipment.
