The Daniels Fund
Mission and Purpose: Established by Bill Daniels, the fund is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for people in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming through its grants, scholarships, and ethics initiative.
Broad Funding Guidelines: The fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations in its four-state region that align with its funding areas: Aging, Amateur Sports, Disabilities, Drug & Alcohol Addiction, Early Childhood Education, Homeless & Disadvantaged, K-12 Education Reform, and Youth Development. It does not fund arts or cultural programs, endowments, or historic preservation.

Mission and Purpose: The foundation is a family foundation committed to expanding access to resources and opportunities to create a more vital and just Philadelphia region for all. It prioritizes communities most affected by inequity and discrimination.
Broad Funding Guidelines: The foundation provides grants in five program areas: Arts and Culture, Children and Families, Democracy and Civic Initiatives, Environment and Public Space, and Workforce Training and Services. The majority of its funding is awarded through Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that are released on a public schedule.

The Christensen Fund
Mission and Purpose: The fund believes in the power of biological and cultural diversity to sustain and enrich the world. Its mission is to support indigenous peoples and local communities who are custodians of their bio-cultural heritage.
Broad Funding Guidelines: The fund focuses on the intersection of natural environments and human cultures. It supports organizations that work to secure the rights of indigenous peoples to their land, territories, and resources. Grantmaking is often by invitation only, but the foundation also has a two-stage application process that begins with a pre-proposal.
