Mission & Purpose: To improve the mental health and well-being of the economically disadvantaged. The foundation is unique in its singular focus on funding psychiatric and psychological services for those who cannot afford them.

Broad Funding Guidelines: Grantmaking is focused on Illinois (specifically the Chicago metro area). They fund 501(c)(3) organizations that provide Mental Health Services, including hospitals, clinics, and social service agencies. They are one of the few funders that will cover the costs of therapy, psychiatric care, and mental health research. They accept grant applications on a rolling basis.

Featured Opportunity: They are a critical source of funding for "Gap Service". Many government programs do not cover the full cost of mental health care for the uninsured.
